Studying at the Centre

In Agrhymet, students receive an exceptional work environment. Located on the right bank of the Niger River, the center has a fenced area of ​​71 hectares which allows students to live in a peaceful and secure. This area also allows the implementation of research activities and full-scale demonstration.

Students also have a fully computerized documentation center and with over 31,000 scientific and technical references. These books cover various fields of climatology, rural development, natural resources, food security and remote sensing. This center is an excellent source of information for teachers, researchers, students and professionals worldwide who are interested in development problems of the Sahel. It is interconnected with other documentation centers in Niamey and has references of international documentation centers.

The teaching staff is highly qualified. these teachers are mostly PhDs or have significant practical experience. They have all been selected on a regional basis by an independent panel and are periodically evaluated by a Scientific and Educational.

From the standpoint of infrastructure, students have an auditorium, classrooms, laboratories and training workshops, computer facilities, a print shop, an automatic weather station, a insectary.

Students live in a city within the area and close to the class rooms. This city of 110 rooms, divided into blocks of 10 rooms with kitchen and washroom facilities, is equipped with a home that can provide catering and sports facilities, which gives the whole look of serenity on the campus clean in teaching and a rich social life among students from all countries.

The focus of students with bar, games, TV, etc.. is open to moments of relaxation while the sports facilities can play football, basketball and volleyball. Life in the City is governed by internal rules that any student or student must respect.

Medical consultations are offered three times a week (Monday, 8 am 00 to 12 00 pm, Friday from 8 00 to 12 00 pm, Wednesday from 00 to 17 h 15 h 00), by the medical center. Each student is also required to purchase health insurance.
